ruyuYes, indeed, I have leaned my lesson. Do not play with your system files and make sure you have restore points and backup discs for your computer. I was a mess last night after one of my system files was renamed wrong. And that one file just happened to be pretty damn important to my Window's Explore interface. I will never go near my System32 files again.
I urge you all to do the same. (unless you know what the hell you're doing, that is)
Anyway, I finally got my laptop to do a system restore. I had initially set one up before I started all my "tweaking", but when I did the restore from that point, it didn't work. But finally got it to reboot and do a restore from an even earlier point and now it's all better. I am currently making backups of my iTunes library and my fiction/fanfiction files and I'll eventually make some of all my graphics and PS files.
The whole night I was thinking, "It's ok. There's nothing too important on there. I just find it all again. I can live without it. Yeah, it's ok." NOT! I was freaking out and I couldn't stop thinking about it.
BUT EVERYTHING IS FINE NOW.
