I've just about finshed my final's week. I have one more critique with my figure drawing professor and I'll be done. I've found out I made an A in my painting class, but I already knew I'd done well in there. So, I've got my fingers crossed for my Type, DP and my Figure Drawing class.

In the mean time, I've started my vacation. *flails* I've been waiting all year for it. December 11th is my 21st birthday and, honestly, I'm ready to get it over with. These past 2-4 months have been financially difficult for me and my family - let's just say Christmas will won't be plentiful this year. But we all know that and hope to have fun anyway.

I'll be keeping myself busy with fiction/fanfiction writing over the holiday break. I've doing my admistrative duties at Mei while my friend is in Japan. *is jealous* I've started an original yaoi drabble challenge thread and I'm excited to start it at the end of the week. *needs to think about prompt* If any of you are interested in joining the drabble challenge, just let me know. ^^

In the states, Dark Knight comes out on Tuesday the 9th, and I'm forcing my father to go buy it. We're all movie fanatics in my house and we have accumulated a large library of DVD's. I'd say it's worth over $500+ dollars.

I've decided to get a MacBook Pro sometime next year...maybe in February when I get my loan reinbursment check in or sometime sooner. I'll also get Adobe CS4...I don't even want to think about how much that will cost. Programs are so friggin' expensive now a days. *cries* But the mac and the programs should last me a long while...I am going to be a graphic designer after all. I won't be able to take another graphic design class in the spring...but I figured I'll just practice on it until I am able to take another class.

I know it's not much of a consolation, but most colleges have "student" version of Adobe products. All it means is that you "promise" not to make a profit from using it. They are somewhat cheaper than the regular retail version ( but it does have all the bells and whistles).

Wow. Thanks, I didn't know that was availble. I knew that student could get discounts, but I didn't know that they offered a student version. Apple offers the programs along with the laptops, and the full programs alone cost up to $1000+ US dollars. Seeing those prices make feel better about the $400 priced programs I've found.

I've stayed away from the Adobe website because it makes me feel very poor. Lol. ^^ Thanks for the tip. XD
