Star Trek

Ok. I must say that I have never been a rabid fan of Star Trek but I've seen all the movies...First Contact...yada yada. But the new movie was AWESOME. It had everything I was hoping for: humor, romance, action, monsters, and killer special effects. I won't say that it was acceptable as a part of the Star Trek universe, but as a stand alone movie it was aces in my opinion. I didn't do my homework on the ST material before going to see it but I really didn't have to in the end. All of the character introductions were excellent and not to flashy.
And I have to confess, I was slashing Kurk and Spock before I got home from the theater! They made so much eye contact and WHOA really close, face to face dialog I as drooling half the time. ^_^

My sister was drooling over Spock as well, but I didn't she could handle Spock/Kurk just yet. Damn that's hot.

I'm actually a ST fan from way, way back. There is a slash fic of Kirk and Spock I've been searching for for YEARS!!!And of course, right now the name escapes me..."Spock Un....something" I didn't even know it was called slash at the time. Some of those old school fanfics really got me going. ANYWHO...
I'm really looking forward to seeing the movie, in theater.
