H/W Fanart

Still slowly working on this. I've stuck with Holmes's design and avoided Watson for now. I'm having serious trouble drawing him, mainly his face. (I know it's the mustache, it throws me for loop) One night needs to be devoted to his sketching and final lineart - I just don't want to do it. >.< I'm open for suggestions on any part of the drawing, 'cause really, none its final at this point. Cheers guys.

It looks like you're doing the scetching by hand and the final line art and colouring in the comp, am I right? And fuck, I'm so jelous of those lines >_> You have seen my stuff, right? A totall mess.

I don't have any tip for you concerning the mustache, I've never really drawn that either ^^ but I guess you shouldn't bother about the lips - do the mustache before you do the mouth?

No, actually I sketch on the computer with my tablet. I do a rough sketch, then another sketch (the one you see underneath now) and then the lineart.

You're stuff is awesome! I just take more time to clean mine. I'm kinda OCD about my sketches. If I ever posted my sketches, they'd still look much to clean compared to other people sketch stuff.

I've looked at picture of other peoples mustaches and I think it's best if you draw the mouth first and then the mustache (depending on how thick or thin the hair is, or course). There is a varying degree of how much of the upper lip and corners of the mouth are revealed. I just haven't found the right combination yet. >.
