Sherlock may not realize it, but John hides quite well behind his blog. His flatmate comments on his exaggeration of events, relationships and inner monologs, not knowing that John tells the truth where it matters the most. He buries his emotions deep with each keystroke.

Sherlock will dismiss it. John is counting on it.

One day while John writes, Sherlock tells him, “You called me brilliant five times in this post, John.”

“So I did.”

A thin finger pushes John’s laptop closed.

“Maybe,” Sherlock says slyly, “you should stop writing about how you love me and just say it already.”
